I started fishing at the age of 14,spending most of my early learning years at Dam Flask and Worsborough Reservoir

This was where I learnt and developed most of my angling skills and techniques which are imperative in today’s way of angling .

I spent many years team fishing intensely, with great success, but I now mainly concentrate on the commercial fishing scene, and with out fail at least once a year travel abroad to compete in the Dutch festivals.

I would my regard myself as the”Meat Master”. Having studied this bait in immense detail with hundreds of match wins, which I believe are results from knowing more about this bait than many people, and utilising this baits potential to an absolute maximum.

2000…. Anglo Dutch Classic River Issel Festival weight Record Holder with141lb

2001…. Division 3 National Team Champions(Handsworth Angling),Stainforth and New Junction.

2002…. Jack Purchase Stenna Dutch Classic Champion.(Vourne Canal)..This was a four match event of which I won three matches outright, and also recorded the festivals largest weight 120ib…

2003…..Damflask Pennine Champion…On this day I also set a new match record for it only to be broke six months later..

2005….. Daiwa Hallcroft Ultimate League Champion ..This was a three match
event, Of which I won two matches outright and also recorded the festivals largest weight. 98lb (3hrs)

Recorded a new match record at Hallcrofts Moat Pool with 179ib……That was broken by Andy Oldham two months later….194lb (and still stands)

2006….Hallcroft Tigra team Champions (Jamie Masson, Pete Bagshaw,Steve Spurr,and Myself).

2008….Yorkshire Dutch Classic Champion….(Vourne Canal)..This was a three
Match event of which I won two matches outright..
