Right, I have venues sorted for the first and last days with Ranskill (mixed carp and silver fish) first day, and Oasis Lake at Lindholme on the last day (F1's and carp, snake lake), both these are topclass venues and very fair in the warmer month
The only question is, where we go on the middle day. Wetlands and Bank End are fully booked unfortunately, so we could either have another commercial (Hayfield or Hallcroft) or a different venue altogether, the Chesterfield Canal at Clayworth is very nice, for example, its stuffed with squatt fish and also holds a good head of big bream and chub, this would make every day of the festival totally unique, an added bonus here is that there are no long walks as you can park behind your peg, this is only about ten minutes from Blyth do another possible option.
your thoughts??

Personally I would prefer three commercials. Easier for me to find out about methods on these rather than a canal, plus I have given away all my canal gear! But I will go with the flow!

Festival
No lets get on a canal. Then it will be a proper festival with a bit of variety and I do get sick of carp/ carp/ carp. Last year I spent weeks on the Kennet and Avon Canal and I loved it.
I am defo no canal angler but variety is the spice of life. By the way Tom whats the local talent like in Blyth LOL. Are they ready for us !!!!!!!

Sounds good to me, dish the pegs as soon as you get it squared up. Would love the canal to fish well.

What's wrong with Lodge Farm, has every one forgot about it or have you not heard of it.

Lodge farm is a brilliant set up but with only 3 venues to be used out of all in the region what can the lad do. We are spoilt for choice in this part of the woods thankfully. He picks the venues and we decide if we want to fish em.

There are permanent pegs at Clayworth mucker, we are on pegs 1 -30. for those who have never been, It will make for an interesting days fishing, as its different from your standard canal, you are fishing across to boats on the far side on the vast majority of pegs, and for this reason catapults are banned.
There are loads of big fish to go for as well as plenty of squatt fish, and as a whole its very fair.

No disrespect to canal anglers!!!! but i was up for this tournament until a canal was mentiond it would have been my first ever festival i would have fished in and being close to my area fantastic... if it had been 3 commercials then i would have tried, if they had been room left to book on. but unfortunatly im not interested in fishing rivers or canals like i said no disrepect to these styles and people that fish them but its just not me... thanks though,
Brett
