Default Fishing 4 Fun Blyth Festival

With anglers complaining about the cost of big events such as Maver Pairs and Fish O'Mania where big organisations are profitting from money paid in by anglers, We have decided to run a smaller event on a more local scale, details can be found below:

Dates:

Wednesday 17th September- Lakeside Fishery, Ranskill
Thursday 18th September- Chesterfield Canal, Clayworth
Friday 19th September- Lindholme Lakes, Oasis Lake

£120.00 per angler, payment is required in advance to secure your place on the festival. I have tried to run events in the past, and have suffered at the hands of anglers who are up for everything at first, and then drop out a few weeks before, so for this event places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, in terms of who pays on first.

Payment can be made by sending a cheque to:

Tom Scholey
91 Tadcaster Road
Woodseats
Sheffield
S80RA

or dropping cash off at:

Woodseats Angling Centre
625 Chesterfield Road
Sheffield
South Yorkshire
S80RX

Confirmed Payout (Based on a full 30 anglers fishing)

Daily Payout:

1- £100
2- £80
3- £70

5 X 6 Peg Sections of £50 per section

(Plus Daily Superpool Monies payed out 50% 30% 20% to the top three places)

Overall Payout:

1- £500
2- £400
3- £300
4- £200
5- £100

The Festival Result will be worked out on section points with one point for a section win down to six points for last in section, or seven points if you blank.

In the event of a tie on points, weight will be used to determine the result.

Draw Time: 9:00 at the venue, fish 11:00-4:00, Daily Payout in the Fourways Hotel, Blyth at 6:00 PM, Overall festival payout at Fourways Hotel at 8:30 PM on the friday night.

For anglers wanting to stop over, the Fourways Hotel offers bed, breakfast and evening meal at competitive rates and can be contacted on: 01909591235

I don't mind a venture into pastures new. But it would have to be around the second week in September for me.

Id be up for this but think the bigger of the commercials would be better to use. Lindholme, Hayfield and Hallcroft. Bigger exposure and more credability for a competiton of this potential on these venues rather than the smaller ponds i thinks. Either way though id be in even if you wanted to put it on the duck ponds rkid.

I've asked around a few people, and there seems to be quite a bit of interest, if anyone knows of anyone else who would want to fish. If we get above 20 I will try and sort some dates/venues

Contact times and mail and get some exposure for it and your site , you may be surprised at the response of anglers who get to fish for all there own cash back with no-one sifting a big percentage off for fictitiuos sponsorship. Well done.

Tom,

Reckon I could get some of the SE mob interested. Have to be last two weeks in September for me. Not sure about the rest. Maybe best get some dates, and see what develops.
