Default Thames trouble

Well another ledgering session on the Thames goes without so much as a bite.

Tried close in, mid river and far bank, tried lengthening and shortening the hook length, tried bait on the hair and on the hook, tried pellets, bread, chicken, fake maggots even a freshwater mussel that I found on a piece of wood after I got snagged - all to no effect.

Third session without any luck, not even a Minnow.

hey there - It's a little stretch in Oxfordshire near Long Wittenham.

About two canal widths across, if you see what I mean, lots of weeds quite deep and fairly swift moving.

I'm hoping to have more luck with an overnight session soon.

Tackling a small lake this w/e, going to try the waggler with pellet or worm on the bottom (or just off?) targeting carp - but would be happy with anything!
