I dont think its their mouths as when you hook one proper it never seems to come off at woodlands.
funny tho cos I fished banded 8mm pellet and dropped in at 2m and got a good fish first cast, then inexplicably missed 4 proper guzzunder bites that I couldnt believe it was possible to miss.
as to the answer? maybe the first one you catch was confident and the other fish then got wary hence not taking the bait right
