Set in the tranquil Claw Valley on a 78 acre private estate in the devon countryside, Clawford Fishing Lakes is the ideal location for a relaxing fishing holiday, with 16 lakes to choose from, award winning accomodation and excellent facilities. All 16 lakes offer free fishing to residents and there are 2 lakes available for day ticket fishing (ABC 1+2). There is an onsite shop offering tackle and a wide range of baits.

Tanners Lake (4.25 acres) is a specimen carp lake, with depths from 3 to 12ft, 3 islands and 2 sunken islands. This lake is stocked with over 130 double figure carp to 39lb+. This is a 2 rod lake with No keepnets or pole fishing allowed.

Major John`s Lake (4.5 acres) is the premier carp lake, which has 3 islands and depths from 3 to 15ft. This lake is home to 2 hardfighting species of carp (blue carp, cream carp) as well as mirror carp to 45lb and specimen grass carp. There are No keepnets, No pole fishing and No carpsacks allowed on this 2 rod lake.

Clawford Lake (5 acres) is the intermediate carp lake, which is stocked with 1500+ king carp. This lake has 3 islands and has depths from 2 to 10ft.

Poynter`s Lake (6 acres) is the predator lake, with depths from 2.5 to 11ft and 1 island feature. The predators include Ide to 2lb, Chub to 3lb and Perch to 4lb. Night fishing is permited only on the south bank and there is no pole fishing allowed.

Pinney`s Lake (0.75 acres) is the beginners carp lake, with depths from 2.5 to 11ft and no islands. This lake is stocked with King Carp ranging from 1/2lb to 7lb.

Fletcher`s Lake (3.5 acres) is the specimen ghost carp lake, with depths ranging from 2 to 12ft. This lake has large quantitys of ghost carp up to 30lb+ alongside Koi Carp, Rudd, Barbel, Specimen Roach and Dace. Fletchers is the only lake at clawfords that holds specimen ghosties. This is a 2 rod lake and no bivies, no pole fishing and no night fishing is allowed.

Edward`s Lake (3.75 acres) is the premier coarse lake, which has 3 islands and depths from 3 to 12ft. This lake holds Ghost and Koi Carp, Green and Blue Tench, Roach, Bream, Barbel, Chub, Dace, Ide and Blue Orfe. There are no bivies, no pole fishing, no keepnets and no night fishing allowed. this is a 1 rod lake.

Emery`s Lake (2.5 acres) is the nature lovers coarse lake, which is a 1 rod lake with depths from 2.5 to 12ft and also has 1 island and 2 sunken islands. This lake is stocked with Blue and Cream Carp, Gudgeon and a good variety of other coarse fish found at clawfords.

Wanda`s Lake (3+ acres) is the connoisseurs lake, which has 3 islands, 1 sunken island and the wedding cake island. This lake holds specimen Green Tench to 12lb+, Bream to 10lb+, Crucians to 3.75lb, Barbel to 7.5lb+, Roach to 3 1/2lb, Rudd to 3lb, Ide, Dace, Perch to 5lb and Chub. There is no night fishing allowed on this lake and it is also a 1 rod lake.

Gregory`s Lake (3+ acres) is the golden lake and is a 1 rod lake. This lake has depths from 2.5 to 14ft and stocks a wide range of golden fish. Golden and Koi Carp, Golden Tench, Pink and Golden Orfe, Golden Rudd, Goldfish and Rosy Minnows. There is no pole fishing and no night fishing allowed.

Julie`s Lake (1/2 acre) is a 1 rod lake with depths from 1 to 8ft and contains Green Grass Carp, Golden Tench and Silver Bream.

Jr`s Lake (5 acres) is the 2 rod match lake with depths from 3.5 to 12ft. This lake holds all species of fish found at clawford as well as specimen Wels Catfish.

ABC 1 (1 acre) is the anything but carp lake which has 1 island and a depth of 7ft. This lake holds Roach, Rudd and Bream and a variety of other silver fish. This lake is also a match lake.

ABC 2 (0.75 acres) is a 1 rod match lake with depths at 6.5ft and 1 island. This lake is stocked with Bream, Orfe, Chub, Rudd and a variety of other silver fish.

Kingfisher Lake is a 1 rod lake and has depths from 1 to 8ft. This lake holds specimen Crucian Carp and Green Tench.

NOTE: 14 of the 16 lakes at clawford are used exclusively by residents. Day tickets are available for ABC 1+2 throughout the year and jr`s lake is available for day tickets from 1st oct-31st mar. Please visit their website for their rules of code and conduct.
