Around the first weekend in November a strange phenomenon happens in the Duchy, local match anglers that have seemingly hibernated
Springwood Fisheries
Springwood Fisheries has two well established lakes (Top Lake, Bottom Lake) and onsite facilities include safe + secure parking, Male/Female toilets and a clubhouse where you can buy day tickets, tackle, baits, hot and cold drinks and snacks. Disabled and young anglers are welcome, however under 14`s must be with an adult.
Open matches can be arranged by request and club matches can also be booked. Both of the lakes at springwood are well stocked with Common, Ghost and Crucian Carp, Roach, Rudd, Tench, Perch, Barbel, Golden and Blue Orfe, Chub, Ide and skimmer Bream.
Angling tuition and corporate match day facilities are available by request.
Top Lake has 24 pegs and depths ranging from 3 to 5ft. This lake has two islands. The current best match weights are: Three hour match = 40lbs
Five hour match = 58lbs
Six hour match = 69lbs
Bottom Lake has 30 pegs and depths ranging from 2.5 to 6ft, this lake also has two islands. The current best match weights
are:
Three hour match = 45lbs
Five hour match = 63lbs
The lakes are open seven days a week from 8am until 1/2hr before dusk. There is no night fishing allowed.
