Beehive Farm Woodland Lakes

Beehive Farm also has a caravan and camping site which is perfect for a fishing holiday and a great base for cycling and walking, there is also the animal farm and playground for the children.

There are a few changes to this information (I went there yesterday) It is £6 for the first rod and £10 to use a second.
Also, groundbait is banned and so are boilies, bloodworm and barbed hooks. Landing nets are compulsory – but this seems standard anywhere now….
It is a very quiet & picturesque place to fish though!

I’ve been fishing Beehive for the last 4 years,it’s now a regular place for the ‘Half Term’ break camping and fishing, and any other time when work allows.
Myself and my great nephews always thoroughly enjoy our time there,no matter what the weather.
Great fishing on Horseshoe and Botany Bay lakes, nice range of well looked after fish to be caught.
The site is clean, peaceful and very professionally run, plus a delightful Tea Room (Cakes are wondeful).
Have to point out to Mr Walker that groundbait is allowed, 1KG of dry weight
Other standard rules apply (Barbless hooks,no keep nets, catch and release etc..)
Would definitely recommend the fishing at Beehive

Seems to be a nice fishery, well run and the fish looked after, however some of the rules are a bit daft, i.e no paste baits, what about bread paste? Used on all fisheries since Isaak Walton ..ii.no chemical baits, that just about rules out any food ever manufactured. A worm contains a least 18 different amino acids and chemicals. iii no bioles whilst I agree to a certain extent – bioles were designed by specimen hunters to catch the larger fish i.e speciemens, which i prefer to target. At 10 quid a chuck, i’m hoping to catch the larger carp and tench and not be pestered by smaller fish i.e less than 2 k.g. Next thing you know he will be banning hooks. Does he want nice specimen fish caught or doesn’t he ???????
