The official representative body of the region is the West Midlands Leaders Board which has limited administrative functions such as regional planning and economic development. The board is not an elected body, but is made up of members appointed from local councils across the region and is known as a quango. It is based on Edward Street in Birmingham, near the National Indoor Arena. i fish alvecurch fisheries and love it’s surroundings. Beautiful staff and other customers extremely helpful and friendly. If fishing Horseshoe, pellet and paste are by far the deadliest baits. In summer feed your margins then last hour you will have plenty of lumps ripping the pole out your hand. In winter pays 2 scale right down and maggot, pellet and worm and caster come into their own. House pool is awesome with specimens of all species, have caught a 3 pound roach and 3 pound perch there not to mention the bream go to 9lb, and tench to 8, big eels to six. I saw a 5 pounder caught last year, was so jealous, also has carp to 20 plus a rumoured 28 pounder not caught for a while. If u go on Arrow – boilie is a great bait, I use Alvechurch’s squid and orange works really well little gravel bar by pipe which always good for a fish or two all arrow fish are totally mint and go to 24. I really do enjoy it there sumfin 4 everyone should give it a bash

Hi Fellow Angler.

I am going to be staying at the Mill in Eardiston for a week soon and wonder if you can give me any advice on barbel fishing close by. I have joined the BAA due to their variaty of waters.

I WOULD RECCOMEND PURCHASING A BAA CARD FOR ABOUT £30,MANY MILES OF RIVER ,SEVERN,AVON,TEME ,BUT TO NAME A FEW,SEVERN HAS MANY PIKE ,AVON GOOD ZANDER FISHING AND PIKE,TEME NOT SO MANY PIKE BUT THEY GROW LARGE,THE SEVERN IN WORCESTER VERY GOOD FOR ZAnder[think the zander record was caught from a section near here]
excellent value for money,many miles of rivers these days are relatively unfished and you will be the only person there during the week.

THE BEST PLACE TO FISH FOR BARBEL ARE THE BAA SECTION RIBBESFORD JUST BELOW BEWDLEY,THIS FISHES WELL IN THE FLOODS,STANFORD BRIDGE ALSO BAA ,MORE OF A STALKING RIVER TRAVEL LIGHT TO COVER MORE PEGS,PELLETS ,MEAT WORK WELL AND BOILEES,FISH INTO THE EVENING ,AND THE DEEP SECTIONS ,YOU WONT CATCH AS MANY BARBEL AS YOU WOULD IN THE SHALLOWS,BUT IT SEEMS THE BIGGER BARBEL ARE LOCATED IN DEEPER WATER.YOU MIGHT HAVE TO WAIT A WHILE FOR A PULL ,BUT ITS WORTH IT FOR A GOOD FISH,
WE ALL WANT TO CATCH A GOOD FISH SO WHY ARE PEOPLE NOT SAYING WHERE THE BARBEL ARE,WERE ALL FISHERMAN AND SHARE THE SAME PASSION AS THE NEXT MAN

Best 2 places on seven is hampton Load near bewdley and you can camp on your peg. Or Holt Fleet between the bridge and weir and you can camp over noight at the whalf great beer and atmosphere thier and good grub

do you know any day place for good sized Carp on the cheap around Worcestershire???
