Brookfields Fishery, nr Shareshill
Carp are being caught all over the lake here, and no peg can be counted out as a winner. Paste with pellet feed is accounting for a lot of carp up to 10lb being caught at close range on pole tactics. Method feeder with maggot or corn and pellet waggler fished close to the islands is taking fish for both pleasure and match anglers a like. There are also plenty of small silver fish showing on short pool tactics. For more details contact Mark or Clare on 01922 411 111 evenings.

Octoplus Boldings, Bridgnorth
Sticking to a proven match plan seems to be work well here, with corn, pellet and maggot fished close in down the side or on shelf at 1.5meters being the winning method on every match. Club match results are very consistent with all attending clubs being rewarded with a variety of mixed nets of fish to all methods and baits, pleasure anglers as usual will always and some pegs available despite the club and open matches fishery owner Ed turner says he is always getting the pleasure angler reporting 100lb plus catches to him and that they can come from any of the twelve pools. The cooling weather now that autumn is with us will have an affect on how you fish the pools but a sensible approach of cutting down on the feed and adapting your tackle to suit, will still keep you in contact with the fish. Big shoals of silver fish including big perch are sometimes ignored in favour of the carp and Ed says you are missing out on some excellent sport. The bream fishing on this beautiful complex is exceeding all expectations. On the hotel section the fish are now showing along; with on average over 50lb needed to win the regular open matches.. Pleasure tickets are available from the lodge on any day, but Sundays are usually very busy with open matches so call Roland or Darren on 01902 700 774 for more details.

Quarry Pool, Aston Eyre
Pleasure catches to well over 100lb are still commonplace with a pole and pellet or paste combination doing the business, particularly during late afternoons and evenings. Clubs interested in booking for summer 2008 should contact owner Tony Crann immediately as very few dates remain. Tel; 01746 714 281.
