Bluebell Park is located in Mid-Wales and has a one acre coarse fishing lake, it is fed by springs and a mountain stream. The lake has 14 double oak platforms and 150 m of embankment all set in beautiful countryside. Lake depth ranges from 5ft to 9ft in the centre and it contains stocks of Carp, Bream, Tench, Roach and Rudd, from ounces to double figure fish. The Carp, Bream and Tench here are drawn to casters, worms, sweetcorn, luncheon meat and bread, whilst the silver fish are drawn by maggots.The office can supply tackle and baits and also offers tackle hire, cooked meals and light refreshments from the kitchen. All facilities including the car-park are disabled friendly and situated right beside the lake. Future developments include a Winter/Match lake and a children`s/stock pool. Matches arranged by request. All juniors under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Corporate days are also available.
Angling Rules:
Barbless hooks only (up to size 12), all nets must be disinfected in the bins provided onsite (keepnets only allowed in matches), Bait: only the following may be used, Maggots, Castors, Pinkies, Squats, Worms (not blood or jokers), Sweetcorn, Luncheon Meat (any flavours), Bread on hook only. Premises pellets only (for swim feed, expanders, paste). Bucket size containers are not allowed by the water. No other bait is to be used without permission. Hooks and baits are checked regularly. These rules must not be broken.
Fish Care Rules:
Handle the fish with care, no fish to be taken away, to avoid injury use unhooking mats provided and ensure they are wet, never hold fish higher than knee height, do not carry fish away from the peg area, do not handle fish in towels, cloths or gloves, return fish gently to the water with your landing net (never throw them back).
Campus Respect:
No litter – please leave your peg area clean (including cigarette stubs), no damage to trees, shrubs or water plants, no dogs allowed other than guide dogs), radios are allowed at a low noise level.
