Pellet waggler fishing is one of my favourite methods for catching carp. The main criteria for a good pellet waggler in my humble opinion is that it is strong and will stand up to being thrashed about in and around the landing net, it is unloaded and it sits up in the water as soon as it lands. Over the years I’ve used a few different types and at one stage even made my own in the bigger sizes up to 8 swan.
I have now started using Styrofoam as I think it offers the best allround waggler and the new ones from J Range look pretty good. They come in 2, 3 and 4 SSG and they retail for 2.49 each. As long as you don’t stick them up a tree they should last you a fair few bagging sessions.
