Afternoon Match…
This was a rover match,I picked peg 66 on Bonsai lake.
I only set up the method feeder as i know on bonsai you haven’ enough time to make two methods work in five hours…
I won the match with 147ib..

April 11th Sat
Hallcroft fisheries

I drew peg 37 moat island.It fished really hard due to the gale force winds which meant i couldn’t exercise my peg properly.I caught 42ib skimmers on pellet at 5 metre which was enough for a section win..Pete Baggy won it with 78ib..

April 12th Sun
Larford Lakes/Maver Classic qualifier.

I drew peg 7 on the specimen Lake.I caught mainly skimmers on the pole and pellet with a couple of bonus carp that helped my weight to second in section with 57ib.Will raison won my section with 65ib and qualified which left me the first to miss out on qualifying…

Bonsai afternoon match,(3hr)i drew peg 72 and caught shallow on the meat up to the reeds,i struggled at first then ended up bagging in the last hour.I won the match with 122ib.

April 17th FRi

On this rover match i picked 63 on bonsai..(For some bizzare reason nobody seems to pick these pegs)I was the last person to make a choice and still had all the sixties to choose from!!!.
I won the match with the method 133ib..

April 18th Sat
Larford lakes/Maver classic Qualifier.
I drew peg 38 match lake Steve Mayo on 36,Ben Leache on 34.(tough section to win!).
I caught well on the method feeder up to the island for the first three hours then my peg quickly slowed up.I made a major mistake by not trying to make my pole line work when i knew my bites were drying up on the feeder…i ended up with 85ib,Steve mayo had 81ib,Ben leache had 40ib.End peg won my section which left me again second in the section and the first off qualifying

I drew 38 on Larrels lake which i’ve never fished before.i caught shallow on the meat in the last two hours and won the match with 78lb.

April 24th Fri
I Picked peg 66 on the Bonsai,again these pegs weren’t picked!!!
I fished method and won the match with 131ib..

April 25th Sat
Larford Lakes/Maver Pairs
I paired up with my Hero Andy Oldham.i drew on the specimen lake peg 76 and had a nightmare which left me 5th in the section with 76ib.Andy had 120ib on the match lake and also came 5th in the section ..Also we lost a side bet to jo Carass and Adam Richards…Dont worry lads we’ll get it back at lindholme…get your money ready!!!

I drew peg 63 oasis(Golden peg).i caught tight against the far bank(18 metre)with the meat shallow and also at full depth,i won the match with 85ib..And walked away with a cool £1000 cheque plus match winnings.

This match was on the bridge pool.I drew peg 10 on the outer,and caught steadily all afternoon on the meat shallow.
I ended up winning the match with 116ib.

April 30th Thur
linholme Lakes
This match was on the oasis,i drew peg 51 and caught on the meat across for 99ib,enough for second.100ib won it…bxxxxxxs.

May 1st Fri
Lindholme Lakes.
Again i was on the bonsai on peg 64.I won the bonsai with 137ib..Steve donihew won the match off laurels with 138ib.!!!

May 7th. Thur
Linholme Lakes.
oasis again,I’m getting to enjoy this lake .I drew peg 3,and caught with the meat across,having to battle against a gale force wind with 16 metres.I won the match comfortably with 137ib..

May 8th Fri
Hey guess what i was on the bonsai again but the wind was too strong to fish in the sixties so i picked peg 40..i caght on the method and weighed in 150ib,which was only enough for second.John Holvey won it with 167ib on the paste…

I’m off to holland so i’ll have a few stories to tell when i get back.See you soon…
