Hi Richard, A Spaz bar, also known as a spacker bar or gentlemans rest is a bar that often attaches to an anglers footplate for them to rest there pole on while fishing. It enables the pole to be held still in windy conditions, and also allows less physically able anglers to fish the pole at longer lengths.
